A teenage boy was suffered a gunshot wound to the head and a man was shot in the chest during a Friday night shootout between the two men in the South Chicago neighborhood.

An off-duty Chicago Police officer shot and killed a person who apparently tried to break into the officer's Garfield Ridge neighborhood home Friday morning on the Southwest Side.

Children under 18 will be immune from being charged with prostitution and instead will be treated as victims under legislation signed into law Friday by Gov. Quinn, according to the Sun-Times.
